Privacy Policy — TripMeter

1. Who we are

This privacy policy applies to the mobile application TripMeter (the "App"), published by Juris Poludnicins ("we", "us"). You can contact us at tripmeter.support@gmail.com for any questions about this policy.

2. What data the App accesses

The App accesses the following on-device data only with your permission:

• Location ("When In Use") — the App reads your GPS location while a trip measurement is active in order to compute distance traveled and current speed. We do not store raw coordinates. Only derived values (distance in meters, duration in seconds, average and maximum speed) are saved.
• Motion & Fitness (optional) — used only if you enable the experimental "Automatic" start mode. The motion-coprocessor data is read in real time to detect when you start or stop driving. We do not store motion data.
• Local storage (UserDefaults) — the App stores your settings (language, units, theme, tracking mode) and your trip history (a list of trip summaries as described above) locally on your device.

3. What we do not do

• We do not transmit your data to any server.
• We do not use third-party analytics, ad SDKs, or trackers.
• We do not share, sell, or rent your data.
• The App contains no advertising.

4. Data retention and deletion

All data is stored exclusively on your device. You can delete individual trips inside the App, or remove all data at once by uninstalling the App.

5. Sharing reports

When you choose "Export" on a trip, the report is passed to the iOS Share Sheet. You decide where to send it (Notes, Mail, Messages, etc.). From that point the data is governed by the receiving app's privacy practices, not ours.

6. Children

The App is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any personal data from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current effective date is shown above. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance.
